Historically, corporations have used corporate social responsibility programs to tackle heavy issues such as gender discrimination and racism. Jason Crain spoke alongside Kevin Benedicto of Morgan Lewis Bockius, Bao Vu of Stoel Rives, Al Brooks of the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, and Kate Mortensen of iPondr on a panel entitled "The State of Corporate Racial Justice Initiatives: Analyses and Conclusions Two Years After George Floyd" for The Diversity & Inclusion Committee of the Barristers Club of the Bar Association of San Francisco. Panelists spoke regarding the state of corporate social responsibility programs, and what in-house lawyers and the law firms that serve them can do to effectuate true change in recruiting, retaining, and promoting diverse individuals.
