They discussed topics such as the history of cannabis regulations and current state of the industry; practical considerations for drafting documents, including formation documents and leases; persisting criminal prosecution concerns; changing regulations; and litigation risks.

Smith and Jeff Huang of Alcorn Immigration Law presented for Founders Embassy's select cohort of international entrepreneurs at General Assembly on topics such as formation of a subsidiary versus the completing a Delaware Flip; raising a seed versus Series A round; protecting the company's intellectual property; how to choose and compensate the right team of early hires; and immigration concerns for founders and their employees.
