Lindsey S. Mignano moderated a panel called "Opening the Door: How Women Lawyers are Uniquely Positioned to Further Racial Justice" for the Bar Association of San Francisco.  The panel was comprised of Chambord Benton-Hayes of Benton Employment Law Group, Mary McNamara of Swanson McNamara, Peggy Otum of Wilmer Hale, and Erica Costa of Berkeley Williams.  Panelists discussed the hurdles, hassles, and heartaches of achieving long-term legal careers for women of color, and recommendations for change.

Angela Lyons-Justus spoke on a panel called "A Conversation with First Generation Attorneys: Advice to My Younger Self" for the Bar Association of San Francisco. The panel was comprised of Joseph Macias of Pinterest, Daniel Maroon of Sheppard Mullin, Phillip Person of Greenberg Traurig, and Ashley Teller of the National Nuclear Security Administration.  Panelists discussed specific obstacles facing first-generation attorneys, managing difficult work environments as a first-generation attorney, and building and sustaining professional relationships as a first-generation attorney.

Lindsey S. Mignano moderated a panel entitled "Exploring Intersectionality in 2021: How DEI policies can recruit, retain, and promote intersectional attorneys" for the Bar Association of San Francisco.  The panel was comprised of speakers, Kelly Matayoshi of Farella Braun + Martel, Chambord Benton-Hayes of Benton Employment Law Group, Suzette Barnes, Vice President, Wealth Management Litigation of Morgan Stanley, Ernest Hammond of Facebook, and Jay Lee of One Justice.  Panelists discussed the concept of intersectionality, how the legal industry addressed the intersectionality issues in the past and how can we better address such issues in the future, why intersectional individuals are in a unique position to raise consciousness surrounding the intersectionality issues in the workplace, and how non-intersectional individuals be better allies so as to encourage more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplaces.
