Kim Tran partners with clients to navigate the legal complexities of building and growing their businesses. With a background that includes practicing in the general corporate group at Cooley LLP and serving as in-house counsel in the technology sector, Kim brings a blend of big-firm expertise and practical, business-focused insight to every engagement.
At Cooley, Kim advised both companies and investors across all stages of the business lifecycle and on a wide range of matters, including entity formation and organization, governance matters, venture capital and other private financings, capital markets transactions, reporting and compliance. As in-house counsel, Kim has also developed a deep understanding of the day-to-day legal and operational challenges businesses face, partnering across business units to manage corporate and commercial transactions, navigate regulatory and litigation matters, and advise on employment, product development, and risk management. Kim currently resides in Oceanside, California with her husband and their beloved pup, Stretch. Outside of work, Kim enjoys traveling and all things food (cooking, eating, watching cooking-competition shows), and is currently working on becoming a surfer. EDUCATION
